The Fly Stress Lab is located in the Department of Cell Biology at the University of Pittsburgh.

Our research is aimed at understanding what constitutes cellular stress, how cells respond to such stress, and the role of these responses in development and disease. We are particularly invested in figuring out the role of cellular stress in photoreceptors and fat tissues, and use fruit flies to model various human retinal degeneration and metabolic disorders.
